Fan violence is a matter of high importance around the world, every sport has theirs and is up to the teams to take responsibility about that matter. The events on the past weeks at the Candlestick Park during the game between Oakland Riders and San Francisco 49ers

This is a topic of almost every day, and is something that could happen anywhere and in every country. Throwing stones, bottles, pee-bombs, trash food leftovers, and fights in the bleachers of fans against fans, sometimes fans of the same team, and more often of opposite teams. NFL is no exception. Problems with these fights besides the reputation of the team, is the damage that could bring and the hurting of someone or many, usually someone innocent. In a place full of testosterone is normal to witness confrontations of all kinds, from verbal to physical contact. One thing is to have a small quantity of conflict in the field where the players struggle to defeat their opponent, but where is the end of the line for the fans, but who can control that?

It's normal to feel the adrenaline's surge when watching a game. Screaming when the team scores, yelling when a fault is committed or blaming the referee for bad decisions, after all is a tough sport show not a theater, so people won't be sit quiet and calm just to clap every time a goal is scored. I've seen it many times in Soccer Games, we all know about the England Hooligans, but this is a name that can be given to any fan that became violent and incite others to this shameful behavior, it doesn't matter in which sport, fanatic violence its something that must be eradicated. People wants to enjoy the game, not wondering if the person behind will explode in a boom of rage and start kicking ass at everyone on sight. It just requires a brief of verbal confrontation to reach the punching line, and one fight can lead to worst things, I've also read two fans were hurt by gunshots at the parking’s during the Candlestick game, I mean, how that hell a gun got inside the stadium? that's the top.

Team owners must do something about it, the team's reputation is at their hands. Definitely the teams will consider the increase of security not only inside the installations, but also in the surroundings of the stadium and parking places. With the current economic situation, it won't be a surprise if people will choose to stay at their homes in place of paying for expensive tickets, parking and medical attention in emergency rooms. The NFL should have an eye open not only for the security of the players, also for their fans.

Violence at sports events must end.
